3D Environment Competition 2011
July 6, 2011. Beaverton, Oregon: e-on software, the leader in 3D sky, light and nature technologies, in association with Maxon, Google SketchUp, Pixologic, 3D Total, Ballistic Publishing, 3D World Magazine, CG Society, and Cornucopia3D , today announced the sixth edition of the "3D Environment Competition", designed to showcase the capabilities of 3D technology for CG environments.
Any version of Vue - including Pioneer and the Personal Learning Edition (PLE) which are available at no charge- can be used to enter the competition (standalone or in combination with any other 3D application). Users may also use Carbon Scatter, e-on software’s instancing plugin for 3ds Max, Maya and Cinema4D.
Judging will be based solely on the quality, realism and artistic merit of the entries, not on the software version used to create them.
With 9 prestigious judges representing the different fields of the 3D Industry, this competition is a unique chance for artists to have their work exposed to the eyes of industry experts, as well as winning an extensive set of 3D tools and resources.

Submissions start July 6, 2011 and end August 31, 2011.
The winners of the competition will be announced on September 8, 2011.
