The Seasteading Institute (TSI) is a non-profit organization looking for creative and talented designers to construct a seastead using 3-D modeling software. A seastead is a floating platform that allows people to permanently settle the ocean as they do land.

Professional naval engineers have already designed a bare platform -- a structure about 400x400 feet, roughly the size of a city block. What you build on the platform is up to you. It may be a hospital, a casino, a residential community, a cricket stadium, or something entirely different. Be creative!

This officially debuts tomorrow morning, but our friends at Trailer Addict have already launched the newest full trailer for Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. With DreamWorks Animation's Monsters vs Aliens opening this weekend, all the other big studios are launching trailers for their own upcoming animated movies. We saw Summit's new Astro Boy teaser earlier today, and now we've got Fox's Ice Age 3. Although I loved the first Ice Age, I've completely lost all interest in this series, and probably won't even see this in theaters. I feel like they've stretched the story and the characters way too thin, but that's just me.

Back on Thursday, I, and a couple others, got to spend a little time experiencing the multiplayer component of Section 8 by Timegate Studios. I mentioned it in my debrief but here I’m going to delve a little deeper into the mechanics and play I experienced.

Robert Siwiak, the game’s Producer, walked us through some key points. He took a brief period of time explaining the story in the single-player campaign, how Section 8 is the name of a sort of 101st Airborne of the future fighting a faction called the Arm of Orion who’s been taking over space colonies. He then transitions, saying the campaign is a springboard into the multiplayer campaign.
