Head ( eyes, gills, gill lid, mouth) - is fully sculpted in Zbrush. For scales ( for body) i used 3 photo references, combined with each other. First, i projected this photo- texture on lowpoly UVed model. Then, i've created black and white displacement map to emphasize the dark hollows between individual scales, (also their relief) uploaded it to mesh in Zbrush as displacement. When the basic body relief was ready, i sculpted some individual parts of the bidy with smalll brushes. Fins are completely drawn by hand using ALPHA in those places where fins are very thin, almoust transparent.
